Wintertainment is back for 2025 from February 17th to 21st!

We have fun winter activities for everyone - for the young, and the young at heart! Lots of great indoor and outdoor activities to keep you busy during the February break. Take a look at what we have planned each day below. 

Kids Night Out - Featuring a Frozen T-Shirt Contest!

Get ready for a fun-filled evening at the Battlefords CO-OP Aquatic Centre! Join in for a night of exciting games, and perhaps our coolest challenge yet - a "Frozen T-Shirt Contest"! Participants will race against the clock to thaw out and wear a frozen t-shirt, with prizes for the fastest and most creative contestants!

Designed for youth ages 8 to 12 years. T-shirts will be provided and participants will be served a supper of pizza at 5 p.m.

Time: 5 to 9 p.m.
Location: Drop off and pick up at the NationsWEST Field House
Cost: $15 per person

Everyone Swim!

Battlefords CO-OP Aquatic Centre - 4-623 Carlton Trail

Make a splash this Family Day at the Aquatic Centre! Enjoy a day full of fun with waves, spray features, and water slides for all ages. Challenge yourself on the inflatable obstacle course in the lane pool, featuring a thrilling Tarzan swing finale!

Time: 1 to 4 p.m.
Cost: Admission is half price and FREE for anyone with a valid Aquatic Centre membership! 

Public Skating and Shinny Hockey

Access Communications Centre - 1902-104th Street

Free public skating from 12:45 to 2:15 p.m.
Free family shinny hockey from 2:30 to 4 p.m.


Skating activities are not supervised or staffed. All children must be with an adult. Helmets are recommended for public skating and are mandatory for shinny hockey.

Build your own Inukshuk

Free event for all ages from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

River Valley Centre, 801 River Valley Drive

Enjoy a short nature walk and gather rocks that will be used to build your very own miniature Inukshuk!

Ice Window and Ice Lantern Making/Wiener Roast

Free event for all ages from 12 to 1:30 p.m.

Public Skating and Shinny Hockey

Free public skating from 12:45 to 2:15 p.m.
Free family shinny hockey from 2:30 to 4 p.m.

Skating activities are not supervised or staffed. All children must be with an adult. Helmets are recommended for public skating and are mandatory for shinny hockey.

Suncatchers

Catch some rays during the cold of winter by creating your own suncatcher, using repurposed crayons!

The class is free of charge and suitable for all ages, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Registration for all art programming is required.

Awesome Auroras Paint Night

Try out painting in this beginner-friendly acrylic paint night, where we will create a beautiful landscape, illuminated by the Northern Lights!

Create a colourful night light inspired by the wonderful winter nature-scape of Saskatchewan.

Glow Skate

Senator Jenny Spyglass Outdoor Arena, adjacent to Centennial Park

Light up the ice at the Senator Jenny Spyglass Arena! Join us for an evening skate under glowing lights with music and a magical atmosphere for all ages. 

Free of charge, 5 to 7:30 p.m.

All children must be with an adult. Helmets are recommended for public skating.

Family Snowman Building Competition

Bring your creativity to the Don Ross Toboggan Hill! Compete in our snowman building contest. Fun for all ages, with prizes for the most imaginative designs! Limited supplies will be available to use, but you can certainly bring items from home to make your creation unique!

Free of charge, takes place at the Don Ross Toboggan Hill from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
