Councillor Candidate Profile: Meriam, Donald

I am a proud Two-Spirit individual born and raised in North Battleford. I am an activist, ambassador, official UNICEF Canada Youth Advocate, and recipient of the Queen Elizabeth Platinum Jubilee Medal.

As a son, brother, uncle, and godparent, I am deeply committed to ensuring that this city remains a wonderful place to raise a family. I believe that my fresh perspective, strong decision-making skills, dedication to positive change, and commitment to representing the people of North Battleford make me an ideal candidate to lead us forward.

If elected, my priorities will include stimulating economic growth through strategic partnerships and addressing issues related to racism, crime, and LGBTQ2S rights. I will work diligently to foster collaborative relationships with local organizations, as well as provincial and federal governments, to create a brighter future for our community.
