Make a positive contribution to our community by helping ensure the 2024 Municipal/School Board election runs smoothly.

We need Supervisors to:

  • Show strong leadership to guide Election Officials assigned to the polling location
  • Supervise the election official staff at the polling location and ensure opening and closing procedures are followed
  • Oversee the operation of the poll
  • Distribute supplies, forms, ballots, etc. to election officials
  • Communicate and resolve issues with voters, candidates, candidate’s agents, and media
  • Maintain an orderly flow throughout the day
  • Ensure the IDROs are balancing throughout the day with ballots issued and voter registration forms received
  • Assist IDROs having difficulty balancing after polls close
  • Ensure results are printed from vote tabulating machines and are called into Elections Central
  • Ensure security of all election supplies and ballot boxes after polls close

Supervisors must remain non-partisan on all political views until after the day of the election. You must have the ability to strictly observe secrecy with respect to any and all knowledge that may come into the Election Official’s possession.

Hours of work are approximately 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Regular Poll and vary at Advance and Special Polls.

Applicants must be available to work from October 31, 2024 until November 13, 2024.

Different polls are scheduled for different dates and times, and therefore we require applicants to make themselves available.

Remuneration:

Regular Poll and Advance Polls - $345 (Advance poll workers commit more hours- remuneration is pro-rated)
Training - $45/session (expect to attend two training sessions)
