Warm-up locations in North Battleford during extreme cold weather
The City of North Battleford has reached out to various partner agencies and service groups in the community to compile this list of facilities and services that are available for anyone who requires indoor places to seek shelter from extreme cold weather conditions.
Downtown North Battleford
- Allen Sapp Gallery – 1 Railway Avenue – 306-445-1760
Downstairs is open 12-4pm Wednesday-Sunday. Washroom facilities and water will be available. - Miwasin Kikanaw Shelter – 962 102nd Street – 306-446-1406
Persons accessing the Shelter will be permitted to seek shelter from the cold during the daytime. As available, water, hot chocolate, and juice will be available to those in need. Those wishing to donate blankets, pillows, and mitts/gloves are encouraged to contact the Shelter as there is a need for these specific items at this time. - North Battleford Fire Department – Downtown – 306-445-1770
The North Battleford Fire Department will have a bus and utility vehicles downtown each night from 5-9pm to serve as a warmup location. Washroom facilities and coffee will be available for those in need. Fire Department personnel will be completing rounds each evening every 1.5 hours to check on the wellbeing of vulnerable persons in the community. - Battle River Treaty 6 Health Centre – 1202 101st Street – 306-937-6700
The Health Centre is available Monday-Friday from 8:30am-4:30pm for people to access washroom facilities and warm indoor space. - North Battleford Public Library – 1392 101st Street – 306-445-3206
Library hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 10am-9pm, Saturdays from 10am-6pm, and closed on Sundays. Services include a washroom facility, wi-fi, and water. Hot chocolate and coffee are available for purchase. Hats and mittens are available as supplies last and handed out on an as-requested basis. - Battlefords Indian Métis Friendship Centre – 960 103rd Street – 306-445-8216
Hours of operation – Monday-Friday, 9am-4:30pm. - Living Faith Chapel – 1371 103rd Street – 306-445-3009
Soup kitchen available Monday, Wednesday, Friday – 12-1:30pm.

Warm space available in lobby during hours of operation. Open until 9am-8pm weekdays. Open 1-8pm on weekends.
