Structure fire in North Battleford claims life of one victim

The cause of an early morning structure fire at 2121 95th Street remains under investigation, after the North Battleford Fire Department received a call at 4:33am on Saturday, June 22, 2024.

Officials with the fire department have confirmed the remains of a deceased individual were recovered within the structure. The victim’s identity has not been released. Another individual was able to exit the structure safely. 

Though the fire is not thought to be suspicious in nature, the cause and origin of the blaze are still under investigation by the North Battleford Fire Department and the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency. No neighbouring structures incurred any damage during the fire.
