Ref# BYL024 - Bylaw Enforcement Officer - Full-Time

This position is responsible for supporting the Community Safety Officers and for enforcing the provision of municipal bylaws, including but not limited to: responding to bylaw complaints, parking enforcement, animal control, and yard orders. 

This position will collectively work and assist in patrolling the community alongside the Community Safety Officers.

Qualifications

•    Grade 12 High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
•    Capable of operating radio equipment.
•    Proficient computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Report Exec. 
•    Previous experience in bylaw enforcement and/or animal control is considered an asset. Training will be provided. 
•    Previous experience in parking enforcement will be considered an asset.  Training will be provided. 
•    Previous experience in issuing municipal orders in relation to unsightly properties will be considered an asset. Training will be provided.
•    Training may be required to meet appointment standards in the Police Act of Saskatchewan to qualify for a Special Constable appointment.
•    Successful completion of the Physical Abilities Evaluation Test (PARE) (6mth acceptable).
•    First Aid, CPR, and WHMIS.
•    Criminal Records Check and Enhanced Criminal Records Check through the RCMP.
•    Valid Class 5 License and a clean driver abstract.

$49,293 - $61,428 (2024 OOS Wages – Band 1)       

Hours of Work:

Rotating Shifts 8,10,12 Hour shifts (40 hours per week)
