Polls open at 9am on November 13 for North Battleford Municipal Election

Eligible voters in North Battleford have until 8:00pm on November 13 to vote for a new City Council.            

A total of 1,141 votes were cast during this year’s Advance and Special Polls. Totals for the 2020 Municipal Election in North Battleford included 2,366 voters, or an 18.9% voter turnout, a number which is considered low. Elections officials are encouraging higher attendance for 2024 election.           

There is one polling location set up for Wednesday. Voters can visit the poll at the Access Communications Centre (formerly the Civic Centre) at 1902-104^th Street between 9:00am and 8:00pm. Voting compartments will be set up in the lower level auditorium.

Transportation & Parking

A number of stops along both Battlefords Transit System Routes are located near the Access Communications Centre and transit users will be required to pay regular fares. Accessible parking stalls are located in front of the arena for motorists with valid accessible parking placards.

Voter Eligibility & Identification  

All voters are encouraged to review the eligibility and identity requirements listed on the City’s elections website prior to attending the poll on Election Day. Voters can vote for a maximum of one (1) candidate for Mayor and for a maximum of six (6) candidates for City Councillor. The Mayoral and City Councillor candidates who receive the most votes will be elected.

Results

Results of the 2024 Municipal Election in North Battleford will be tabulated immediately following the close of polls on November 13, 2024. Unofficial election results will be posted on the City’s Elections website and circulated in the form of a media release. The City’s Returning Officer will officially declare the elections results on November 14, 2024.
