2025 Budget Deliberation Meeting Schedule released; public encouraged to attend online or in-person

January is a busy month for the newly-elected City Council, as a series of 2025 Budget Deliberation Meetings kicks off on Tuesday.     

The complete 2025 Budget Deliberation Meeting Schedule is as follows:    

• Tuesday, January 7th, 2025: 4:45pm-9:00pm
  • Topics include community group delegations, General Budget Overview, Government Services, and Police Services     
    
    
• Thursday, January 9th, 2025: 4:30pm-8:00pm
  • Topics include Fire & Protective Services and Parks & Recreation Services
• Wednesday, January 15th, 2025: 4:30pm-8:00pm (tentative)*       
  • Topics include Operations Services, including Infrastructure & Waste Management
    
    
• Monday, January 20th, 2025: 4:30pm-8:30pm
  • Topics include EPAI (Engineering, Planning, Asset Management, and Infrastructure) Services, including UPAR, and Third-Party Grants       
    
    
• Thursday, January 23rd, 2025: 4:30pm-5:30pm
  • Budget Approval      

It should be noted that some Departmental budget presentations may be moved ahead on an as-needed basis due to progress in budget discussions. 

Members of the public are welcome to observe the 2025 Budget Deliberations, and draft budget documents are included in all agenda packages on the City’s website. Meetings will be held at the Don Ross Centre Council Chambers (Room 107) and hosted on Zoom.

*The meeting scheduled January 15th, 2025, will be held only if required. The topics which are included for this meeting would be addressed during another budget deliberation session.
