City of North Battleford - Saskatchewan
City encourages extreme caution for motorists, pedestrians due to rapid and dramatic temperature changes
Crews will be dispatched very early on Friday morning
January 26th 2023

City of North Battleford road crews have been addressing glare ice road conditions for most of Thursday, but the upcoming weather forecast means that conditions of City roads and sidewalks will be cause for concern into Friday.

Environment Canada is forecasting rainfall, high winds, and a sharp decline in temperatures overnight Thursday and into Friday morning. Although City roads crews were salting and sanding roads Thursday, this process will need to be redone again on Friday throughout the City.

As such, the City of North Battleford asks that motorists allow for extra travel time on Friday morning to arrive safely at their destinations. Crews will be dispatched early on Friday and motorists are asked to respect distance between their vehicles and City road equipment.
