The City of North Battleford announced today that James Johansen will join senior leadership as the new Director of Engineering, Planning, Asset Management and Infrastructure (EPAI).
Mr. Johansen holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, a Civil Engineering Technologist Diploma and is a Member with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan.
He has extensive knowledge and experience stemming from a more-than 27 year career working with municipalities and engineering consulting firms, primarily providing expertise in engineering-related services to municipalities. Mr. Johansen will oversee four divisions within the City, including Engineering, Planning, Asset Management, and Infrastructure.
“I look forward to getting to know the people of North Battleford as I serve in this assignment. I appreciate that there will be challenges and hope we will work together to overcome them and make North Battleford a better community,” commented Johansen.
City Manager Randy Patrick notes that he is very pleased with Mr. Johanssen’s addition. “I’m happy to welcome James to the Corporate Leadership Team. I am sure he will prove invaluable leadership in moving the City forward with exciting initiatives that maximize the useful life of City assets and provide the best value possible for our taxpayers.”
Mr. Johansen has relocated to North Battleford from southeastern Alberta and begins with the City of North Battleford on January 16, 2023.
