Following a lengthy selection process, the City of North Battleford is pleased to announce the
hiring of local community member Jan Swanson as their new Economic Development Manager.
Mr. Swanson has significant experience working within public and private sectors across
Canada – notably, as the Premier’s lead on a Business Centre Initiative in the Ukraine, and as
developer of a Provincial Business Succession/Transition Program and the Entrepreneurial
Mr. Swanson holds a Bachelor of Administration from the University of
Regina and is a certified Business Retention and Expansion (BRE) Master Consultant through
the University of Minnesota, along with numerous additional business & economic
Mr. Swanson specializes in economic development, business planning and consulting, project
management, strategic planning, corporate training, and business operations, a skillset City
Manager Randy Patrick says will work well in the scope of the new position.
