City of North Battleford Operations Department and Parks and Recreation crews got to an early start this morning, cleaning debris from the high winds and wind gusts experienced the evening of July 22nd, 2021.
If residents notice downed branches, broken, or potentially dangerous trees in public laneways or spaces, please report the trees and branches using the City’s online service tracker.
The City’s online portal is the preferred method for submitting service requests. The online portal allows the request to be automatically assigned to the appropriate department and put into the service queue for the department. Service Tracker is available on the City of North Battleford’s website any time and provides a tracking ID to the individual for their request to receive updates and status changes.
There are several required fields on the online service tracker which allow the City to contact you if additional information is needed. An email is required to provide the requester with a tracking ID for follow-up on their request and to ensure that staff can contact you regarding any required follow-up or clarification.
Reporting Branches Tip
When reporting downed or dangerous branches select from the Category Type “Parks and Recreation” and then from the Request Type select, “Tree Problems or Concerns.”
Residents without access to the internet can report damaged trees and downed branches by calling City Hall at 306-445-1700.
Power line Reporting
A power line that’s on the ground is dangerous. Always assume it’s live – even if it’s not sparking or making a sound.
If you come across a downed or damaged line, follow these steps:
Stay back at least 10 metres (33 feet). That's about the length of a city bus
Call us at 310-2220 or 911 to report it
Keep others in the vicinity at least a bus-length away
