Residents of the City of North Battleford are encouraged to decorate and light up their roofs, lawns, walls and/or windows because the Twinkle Tour is back for its third year! The City of North Battleford and CJNB is encouraging those who light up the season with their merry decorations to enter their property into the 2020 Twinkle Tour. Get creative! Complete your registration online at www.cjnb.ca/contest/42552/enterContest/. The deadline to register is December 14th, 2020. This contest is open only to residents and businesses in the City of North Battleford.
Every person that registers their home to be part of the tour has a chance to win a prize just for entering!
Best Decorated House
The winner of the best-decorated house will receive a plaque to be proudly displayed at home, a prize package from Magic Lantern Theatres and, a plaque will be displayed at City Hall declaring you as the owner of the best-decorated house for the Twinkle Tour 2020. The Magic Lantern Theatres prize package is a private movie showing with admission for up to 35 people and a $50 gift certificate to their concession for a prize value of $300. Due to the uncertainties of COVID-19, the award-winning house will have until the end of 2021 to use this prize.
Best Decorated Street
The block judged to have the best-decorated street will receive a street blade sign that will be hung on their block, a plaque at City Hall will be displayed proclaiming their Block as “Best-Decorated Street Twinkle Tour 2020”. No entry is required for this prize.
If your decorating style is traditional, modern chic, or if you channel your inner Clark Griswald, enter your home into the 2020 Twinkle Tour before December 14th. Save the date of December 17th and drive along the tour. Starting at 6:00 pm everyone is welcome to stay in their social bubble and follow in their vehicle to join the guided tour leaving from the Civic Centre Parking Lot. Add to the festive spirit and decorate your car or dress up in your most festive PJs! While the tour is happening, listen to Saskatchewan Country CJNB for an evening of Christmas music and a running commentary of the displays from our hosts and special guest Mayor David Gillan.
Please note that not all houses will be included in the guided tour. However, a map of all the houses registered will be available on our website and CJNB’s website on the day of the tour. All registrants will be eligible for judging and prizes.
